- For the second time ever, we’ve had pastors participating in Church Ambassador Network be asked by the state legislator they meet with to provide input on legislation! However, this is the first time we’ve had MULTIPLE legislators asking pastors to give input: there are now at least four bills being proposed in 2026 that were directly affected by the raw expertise of Arizona pastors and ministry directors!
- For the first time ever, we had pastors asked to be the special guest of state legislators on Opening Day for the legislature due to their connection through Church Ambassador Network (CAN). In fact, THREE pastors were asked to be special guests of their respective state legislators! Pastors had a chance to shadow the legislator for opening day and sit on the floor of the House of Representatives!
- And a RECORD number of people participated in the Annual Capitol Prayer Walk in January, which aimed to cover the first day of the 2026 Arizona legislative session in prayer! Over 250 attended in-total, and praise God, this year 50 people in-attendance had been connected to the State Capitol via the Church Ambassador Network.
- God gave us an amazing two-hour meeting with a state legislator representing Tucson and CEO Lisa Chastain from the Tucson Gospel Rescue Mission along with her COO and Government Relations Director. The goal was to arrive at next steps for truly improving opportunities and outcomes for those experiencing homelessness in the Tucson area. Both the legislator and Rescue Mission leadership agreed to convene non-profits and ministries in the Tucson area as a next step to drive toward better solutions and meaningful outcomes…especially changed lives!
- We praise God that one of the pastors who participates in Church Ambassador Network was invited, along with several other area evangelical pastors, to a prayer time by and for their local government leader last month. Remarkably, this invite was from the leader of a local government that has historically kept a significant distance between itself and the local church. What’s more, this leader provided all attending pastors a list of detailed prayer requests for each of their departments!
