- This quarter we’ve seen God provide TEN more pastors for this work, which means that FOR THE FIRST TIME, every state legislator has at least one pastor that is committed to meeting with them to encourage them in their work. We are excited to welcome new pastors in CAN in: Chandler (1 pastor), Gilbert (2 pastors), Ahwatukee (1), Avondale (1), Tolleson (1), Maryvale (1), Glendale (1), Sun City West (1), and Bullhead City (1)! And we are overwhelmed with the grace and kindness shown to us by the pastor community in our state, knowing pastors are so busy yet have carved out time to meet with government leaders to encourage and shepherd them.
- For the second year in a row, the Speaker of the House of Representatives invited pastors and ministers in the Church Ambassador Network to come pray in his office at any time. This became especially important during the waning days of the 2026 legislative session in mid-June. As session closed, several CAN pastors and ministers made the trek to the Capitol to pray for key decisions by the legislature.
- We are so thankful for the work of Along Side Ministries in our jails and state prisons over many years. And we are thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Along Side to identify potential new church partners around Arizona. Even moreso, we are happy to to announce a team from churches in Flagstaff and Winslow is right now preparing to launch Along Side’s first weekly discipleship group in the state prison in Winslow!
